Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/3 cup melted vegan butter, melted coconut oil, or applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup coconut milk (if needed)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
Dry Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a baking pan.
- Mix wet ingredients In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: syrup, butter, vanilla, bananas. Wait to add coconut milk and mix ins.
- Add dry ingredients Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix until combined. Do not over mix, lumps are okay. If the batter feels too thick, add coconut milk to reach desired consistency– I don’t usually need this.
- Add mix ins If desired, fold in additional ingredients like chocolate chips or nuts.
- Bake Pour the batter into your baking pan and bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
